🏗️ New Developments
🏙️ Centre South Is Finally Happening
After years of delays, construction kicks off in early 2026 at the old Strawn Cottages site (South Blvd & South Caldwell). What’s coming:
🏘️ 329 apartments in the first building (66 affordable units for residents earning $47K–$62.8K)
🌆 A 16.7-acre master plan with nearly 1,000 homes
🛍️ Shops, offices, parks, bike lanes, and sidewalks
🚶♀️ A more walkable, connected South End
Why it matters: Rents in South End have soared. This public–private project will add much-needed affordable housing while transforming a long-vacant site into an inclusive neighborhood.
